Savioz Fabrizzi Architects / Boiset house

A old traditional barn and stable were to turned into a contemporary holiday home. The exterior were to be left untouched as much as possible. Some transformations had to be done for safety reasons, and some were added to give more light, open to views and make it more livable.

The picture above is how it looked before the remodel.

Here you can see the beautiful settings the cabin is placed in.

The openings were strategically chosen for light and views.

The modern opening compliments the rugged original material quite nicely.

The Alps, what more do you need on a room?

The entire project was insulated from the inside and covered by larch panels.

Why not!

This pre fabricated / green house / garden is designed by Villa Hara and Linda Bergroth for kekkila Garden. Kekkila garden, is a Finnish company that specialises in growing mediums. This green house was supposed to be a simple growing structure, but after seeing it, and its location the designers decided to re-do the green house part into a one bedroom / Greenhouse. Its is located on a small Island in Finland. The part behind the glass volume is a shed for tools. This part also serves in this case as a location for solar panels.
The  retreat sits beautifully back from the water line, to both create a connection between land and sea.
This would be a fantastic guest house to a bigger cabin.

The windows are operable to control the temperature, and the shed is fitted with solar panels, so that it can operate some tunes, and simple cooking equipment.
Taking a morning bath just seems too tempting.

I want one of these. to read more you can click here!

House in a forrest

The house have two tones of color, grey concrete and stone. The lively warmth of wood and the industrial man made concrete plays beautiful together as seen in the living room fire place. The cladding used on the outside will weather over time and slide effortlessly into its surroundings .

A gorgeous fire place that contrasts great with the warmth and liveliness of the wood walls, ceiling and floors.
 warm and simple kitchen.
Deep windows that gives room to lean you elbow on the sill and take in the outside.
A simple and elegant greenhouse gives life to the rough and gray courtyard.
This simple sketch shows how the house got its informal, warm and loving tone.
